Speaking from my somewhat biased position as a freelance bookkeeper I would advise any business to hire a good bookkeeper first. A bookkeeper can establish systems and advise you on your choice of accountant. You bookkeeper will have a good local knowledge of the local accountancy firms and, because they work for you, will be able to tell you their personal experiences of dealing with the good and the bad of them. A bookkeeper is money well spent and, in nogtiations with your new accountant, they will be money well saved.

Thanks Bev :-)
